Word Work & Phonics

These are some of the word work and alphabet activities I would use in a tutoring session depending on your child's needs. Each activity would be tailored to practice the skills your child can benefit from the most.

Making words using magnet letters can be a great way to introduce children to stretching words out to hear the beginning, middle, and ending sounds. Practice digraphs, blends, and many different spelling patterns.

Word sorts will be used to teach sounds and spelling patterns

Bingo is another fun way to practice or introduce letter sounds, sight words, blends, digraphs, and other spelling patterns to help your child become a successful reader.
